B: Structural Materials

This topic focuses on the

relationships between the structure of materials and their properties and

performance. Regardless of the material class being metallic, ceramic,

polymeric or composite, an understanding of the structure-property

relationships provides a scientific basis for developing engineering materials

for advanced structural applications. Contributions are sought from both,

fundamental and applied research in this field responding to the

ever-increasing demand for improved and better-characterized materials.
